SCRIPTURAL PRAYER FOR THE COMPULSIVE EATER
READ GOD’S WORD ALOUD. REMEMBER, FAITH COMES BY HEARING, AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD. SALVATION COMES BY CONFESSING. PRAY GOD’S WILL BY PRAYING HIS WORD THAT WILL NOT RETURN TO YOU VOID, BUT WILL ACCOMPLISH HIS WILL. (Romans 10:9, 10:17, Isaiah 55:11)

CONFESS TO GOD THAT COMPULSIVE OVEREATING IS A SIN OF GLUTTONY.
PRAY FOR FORGIVENESS FOR SELLING YOUR GOOD HEALTH WITH BAD EATING. KEEP IN MIND THAT FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD.
SCRIPTURES:
Proverbs 23:21
For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.
Proverbs 23:2
and put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony.
Hebrews 12:16
Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

Lord, forgive me that I’ve overindulged and mistreated my body, Your holy temple, with wrong eating habits. I have tempted you and been reckless with the way I eat. I repent, Father. Thank You that not only will You forgive me in Jesus Name, but also cleanse me from all unrighteousness.

WHY DO WE OVEREAT? WHY DO WE EAT WHEN WE ARE NO LONGER HUNGRY FOR FOOD? WHY DO WE EAT THAT WHICH IS NOT FOOD?

LORD You satisfy my soul. In Your Son, the Lord Jesus, I have all that I need. You fill me. Lord, thank You for Your Holy Spirit living in me, and His fruit is also self-control that I can reject junk food and amounts of food that are not convenient for me. Deliver me from this kind of lust. I will no longer allow myself to be brought under the power of anything, for only You can fill any void in me that's been taken up by other things that are not of You.

PRAY:
Thank You Lord in Jesus Name for the natural foods you’ve provided for me to richly enjoy. I wish to enjoy food that is good for me.
I am listening to You diligently. I want to reason together with You and receive understanding. I desire to apply wisdom to my actions. I don’t want to spend money and pay to hurt my body, Your holy temple, with junk food.

DON’T FEEL “DEPRIVED” FOR NOT OVEREATING, OR NOT EATING FOOD THAT HURTS THE BODY.

PRAYER:
Lord, I need Your discipline. I do not live by bread alone, but by Your every Word. I hunger for righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. My true meat is to do Your will.

WE ARE A NEW CREATURE IN CHRIST.
Gluttony is another adversary we must overcome.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
PRAY:
Thank You Lord, in Jesus Name, that old things and habits are passed away. I behold Your Word and am changed from glory to glory. All things are become new, and that includes eating habits. You are able to make all grace abound toward me in this area of my life also. LORD, I offer to You
my body a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to you, in Jesus Name.
